How to inspect before use

Ensure your safety, the safety of your site and teammates when conducting inspections. All inspections of Chain Blocks shall be conducted in accordance with the relevant standards.

Inspect all the components of the Chain Blocks thoroughly

Mandatory Markings

Are the mandatory markings legible, correct and fit for continued service?

Functional Test

Is the chain block lifting and lowering correctly?

Top Hook Assembly

Is the top hook assembly fit for continued service?

Body

Is the body fit for continued service?

Hand Chain

Is the hand chain fit for continued service?

Load Chain

Is the load chain fit for continued service?

Bottom Hook Assembly

Is the bottom hook assembly fit for continued service?

What to look for

Corrosion, Cracks, Cuts, Deformation, Distortion, Gouges, Heat Damage, Nicks, Worn.
NOTE: Pay particular attention to the hooks for signs of overloading
